Dear colleagues and friends, The Italian Dermatological Hospital of Quihà has the
honour to invite you to participate in the First International Congress on
“Dermatological Care for All — A Basic Human Right” in Ethiopia, organized by
“San Gallicano Institut — Department of Preventive Medicine of Migration,
Tourism and Tropical Dermatology” — Rome and the “International Institute of Medical,
Anthropological and Social Sciences” — Rome.
The Congress will be held in November 1-4, 2006.
The opening session will start November 1st, 2006 in Addis Ababa, and the successive
sessions will continue in Mekele November 2-4.
This congress will provide a great opportunity to sensitize the attention on
cutaneous pathologies in Africa and on the needs and the expectations of scientific
cooperation of this country, as well as the opportunity to interact with colleagues
from different cultures and backgrounds.

Programme
The Congress is aimed at providing an updating of the most important dermatological
diseases, with particular reference to epidemiology, clinical feature and therapy
of sub-Saharan African dermatoses.
The main topics will be infectious diseases of the skin, inflammatory dermatoses,
dermatooncology and focus on skin as target organ of systemic diseases.
Moreover, low cost diagnostic and therapeutic models will be shown, designed for
an early recognition and care of different dermatological diseases, STIs and
HIV/AIDS.
